Adoption Puzzle July 8, 2011

This morning while surfing the internet for adoption info, I came across the adoption blog of a family who had a very creative fund-raising idea to raise the money needed to bring their adopted child home from Ethiopia. The idea was to buy a large jigsaw puzzle, and whoever wanted to help contribute towards their adoption expenses could purchase a piece of the puzzle. When someone bought a puzzle piece, that person’s name was written on the back of the piece and added to the puzzle. The completed puzzle with all of the names written on the pieces would then be framed and hung in the adopted baby’s room as a special keepsake for him/her to always have as a reminder of how many people loved him/her and wanted to help bring him/her into the family!  I thought that was such a creative and meaningful idea, and hopefully they won’t mind if we use it also. :D

Below is a picture of the puzzle we bought:

This is a 1,000 piece puzzle, and for a suggested donation of $5.00 you can “buy” a piece of the puzzle with your name on it and have it added to the puzzle! If we are able to sell enough pieces to complete the entire, 1,000 piece puzzle, we will have raised $5,000 for our adoption, which is the estimated amount of funds that we have yet to come up with. Every $5.00 raised is one piece closer to completing the puzzle, and $5.00 closer towards having the funds to adopt a precious baby who needs a forever family! :D

If you are able or feel led to help us with this, puzzle pieces can be payed for by clicking the PayPal button below. Please be sure to include your name, so we know what to write on the puzzle piece! Also please remember that when paying with PayPal, PayPal takes a certain percentage of the money given (a $5.00 donation is really $4.55) Please share the link to this blog post and help us spread the word! OK>>> Cindy and I want to buy four pieces. Put her name on one and my name on the other, then RESELL the other two heh heh heh. We will give $20 in person when we are there in August so none is lost in fees.
    See you soon.
